I've been a professional, freelance copywriter since 1984 when I sold my first story to newspaper for $25, while still in journalism school. I have worked for city daily newspapers, where I learned more about people than a degree in psychology would have ever given me. I also learned that writing good copy means telling a good story.

I write web copy all the time because that's the way the world communicates and I am skilled in website usability issues and information architecture. I also write for print, television and radio. All kinds of business writing. I don' blog because I don't want to, but I help my clients with blog writing if it works for them. I don't hang out with writers or designers or creative directors, but I work with them every day and they appreciate the fact I am a professional they can count on. I have never missed a deadline since 1968 (my kindergarten teachers were strict) and the rest I attribute to my German heritage and desire to provide superior customer service.
