How much does copywriting cost?

Writer for Rent knows that people want to know how much things cost and that a website should always give people this critical information. (Hint: if you want to improve your website, add the prices of your products - or range of prices. It is one of the best and easiest ways to improve customer service.) Here is the range of copywriting fees.  Each copywriting project will be given a professional estimate based on the job specifications as well as a fee payment structure.

What is the copywriting fee structure?

Every project will be professionally quoted as per the client's needs.

A 50% deposit from new clients and for copywriting jobs over $2000.

A rush fee may be applied for jobs with deadlines of 48 hours or less and/or falling on the weekend. All such fees will be in the estimate.

If your project is halted after the copy is written, full payment is required.

If your project is halted while the copy is being written, payment is required for all hours dedicated to date.

How does Writer for Rent know what to write for my business?

Clients come to Writer for Rent with a broad range of requests for freelance copywriting services. Some clients simply say, "I need a full page ad for this product" or "Can you write a White Paper for my business" and I work from there, gathering the information about the project in order to proceed. Other clients have a full creative brief that outlines the project, the objectives and the amount of copy required. Writer for Rent might be supplying everything from concept to completion or just a portion of a creative campaign. It varies from client to client but what always remains the same is that they trust Writer for Rent to provide the writing that works based on asking the right questions, research and expertise.

Tell me more about Writer for Rent's copywriting business process.

The first thing Writer for Rent does is schedule information-gathering meetings you and and/your key staff. W4R will ask about scheduling, budget and job  specifications, but also client preferences, target audience and objectives. And, of course, Writer for Rent will want to know all the user features and benefits of the product or service. In some cases, W4R will inquire as to the marketing strategy and communications plan to ensure the work complements it. With a couple of decades of marketing and advertising experience, often W4R can provide valuable insight and recommendations.

What if I need a graphic designer, web programmer, photographer or a printer as well as a freelance copywriter?

Writer for Rent has established an extensive network of graphic designers, web programmers, printers, print brokers, translators and other suppliers that can help you achieve your marketing and advertsing objectives. Because W4R works closely with these professionals (also freelance and sub contractors) on many projects, W4R can recommend the very bes suppliers to clients. Often clients consult with W4R on assembling a team of freelance professionals that will be ideal for each project. With W4R's experience, clients are assured that they are in good hands.

How long does all this copywriting  take?

Despite popular misconceptions, good creative work doesn't often come in a flash of inspiration; It comes from experience and hard work. This is why W4R needs time  to consider several approaches (concepts), work them through, try them out. Then revise them. All this, plus the need to schedule our workflow in a businesslike fashion, means that we normally ask for up to two weeks, depending on the job's complexity, before we submit our rough approaches(concepts) for your review.

But I absolutely need it in two days!!!!

Oh, you must be a Creative Director at an advertising agency. In that case, fire me off an email with a quick creative brief (two sentences) and Writer for Rent will call/email you within a couple of hours. Or click here for more info. One of the reasons Creative Directors love Writer for Rent is because of the speed and professionalism in turning around rush jobs to their satisfaction. W4R can recognize an emergency and react accordingly - so don't fret, just call Writer for Rent at 519-570-3947.

What if I don't like what Writer for Rent has created?

One of the best things about being an expert copywriter is that Writer for Rent is able to clearly articulate a job's objectives then meet them. Clients may receive rough drafts or numerous concepts to choose from - invariably Writer for Rent creates something that the client says "yes, that's it!" W4R's first draft acceptance rate is exceptionally high and normal revisions are part of a smoothly flowing process.

I heard that writers are difficult, ego driven and always miss deadlines. Is that true?

Not for Writer for Rent, who has never missed a deadline (although clients have changed deadlines, it was never at W4R's request.) As for writers' reputation for being difficult, indeed some writers are testy and unreasonable. But when you are a true professional freelance copywriter like Writer for Rent, this means always providing services and creative talent that exceeds the clients' expectations. Writer for Rent takes great pride in ensuring clients receive excellent value and outstanding service from someone they can trust.
